Enforcement

The Enforcement officer works with each of the programs within the Division of Oil and Public Safety to ensure that regulated parties and facilities operate within the regulations and statutes and remain in compliance. The officer actively works with regulated parties to resolve compliance issues, answer questions, offer guidance and assist with getting them and the facilities back into compliance.

The main focus of enforcement is to be protective of rider safety through compliance with the established State regulations and statutes. The requirements of the Code of Colorado Regulations (7 CCR 1101-8) and Elevator and Escalator Certification Act (Colorado Revised Statutes Title 9, Article 5.5) for Conveyances are administered by the Colorado Department of Labor and Employment, Division of Oil and Public Safety.
