Enforcement

The Enforcement coordinator works with each of the programs within the Division of Oil and Public Safety to ensure that regulated parties operate within the regulations and statutes and remain in compliance. The Enforcement coordinator actively works with regulated parties to resolve compliance issues, answer questions, offer guidance and assist them with getting back into compliance.

The main focus of enforcement is to be protective of users of explosives and the public through compliance with the established Federal and State regulations and statutes. The requirements of the Code of Colorado Regulations (7 CCR 1101-9) and the Colorado Revised Statutes (Title 9, Articles 6 and 7) for Explosives are administered by the Colorado Department of Labor and Employment, Division of Oil and Public Safety.
